While visions of sugar plum fairies.....with hairy eyebrows dance in their heads
After an exhausting 4 day weekend my kids willingly collapsed into a deep slumber. Before I followed suit, I checked on them one last time......and this is what I found. Mind you....it was pitch black (nightlight burned out) but my stellar new camera was able to capture the humor of it all. Classic.

The Present
Greg's parents got Jamison a set of Banzai duel sabers. He was first introduced to them at his Aunt Lorie's and apparently has very fond memories:) In fact, I think I have just as much fun with them. Becca had fun just crusing around ....the boogies are from the 5 teeth that are coming in all at once...she's been a trooper.
The Cake
This year Jamison insisted on a Yoda cake. Are you serious? Have you seen the examples on the web? Well, I certainly wasn't about to compete with that so I called around to all the bakeries and despite my desperate attempts, I came up empty handed. So instead of setting myself up for failure (if it doesnt' come out perfectly...he won't want it) I handed the task to Greg. I'll admit...the words, "he's your son" did come out of my mouth. At any rate, they came up with a fabulous compromise....notice the tiny star wars legos buried in the frosting. So there ya have it. By the way, the writing was leftover gingerbread frosting which hardened. It was quite yummy to have that extra crunch in there. The blue cream cheese frosting was leftover from the cupcakes I made for his class. Success!
Jamison's 6th Birthday at Disneyland
This year in all my brilliance I sold Jamison on going to Disneyland for his birthday. At the same time, I avoided the drama and meltdowns of party planning and saved myself some mula. This is the last year Disneyland lets you in for free on your birthday. I got Greg a ticket on craigslist (somewhat of a shady operation now that we look back on it) and Jamison was free....all in all, a very happy birthday for the low price of $55.

Little Elves
The kids were so excited to decorate the tree this year. They could hardly stand waiting while I strung the lights....twice. The first set were LED's in my attempt to conserve energy but they just didn't sparkle. The older lights made their way back out of the box and were restored to their proper place. I just can't imagine Christmas without watching the joy and excitement these sweet kids exude. Love'm.

Merry Christmas
For the record, all of your Christmas cards are printed, addressed, stamped and ready to go except for one crucial part. The Letter. We all know that despite the expected cheesy family photo, what we all want is the scoop....well, at least Greg's version of the scoop. So, know that your card is ready but it is sans letter. When it is written and printed your card will be on it's merry way along with the 5 million other cards that will take a trip down the big blue bin and hopefully eventually delivered to your door. In the meantime, here is the cheesy family photo.
