Amy's first day of School

Today has been a long awaited day for Amy. Because she turned three last week she is now eligible for preschool. She was ready to go two hours early with her lunch box and pink backpack. Jamison was thrilled to have her come with him and as he would be in a different class, he made Connor promise to "find Amy if she got lost." Her new teacher is Miss Susan and Jamison moved over to Miss Debbie's class. And I have 3 hours all to myself......oh the possibilities!

February Beach Day

Today was the perfect post birthday recovery day. Mindi Bullick and her kiddos came with us to the beach to take advantage of the amazingly beautiful day. Jamison and Cooper debuted their smash ball skills.....and Amy kept Mindi busy with bucket filling. And then of course the seagulls fully enjoyed our entire box of Gorgonzola crackers. Lucky them:)

Cinderella Cake Debut

For several weeks now I have been contemplating how I was going to make a Cinderella cake. Thanks to the internet I got plenty of ideas for what to do but unfortunately the pictures of these cakes made by wonder-moms didn't come with a shot of "cake baking confidence." Yet, I still pressed on. This is how much I love my kids. So below is Cinderella.....half wrapped in plastic stuck in the middle of a strawberry cake covered in cream cheese frosting. Not bad for a rookie who doesn't own any type of cake decorating tools. Yes, I am tooting my own horn. Now I have 10 months to rest from this cake business. One of the many very cool presents Amy received from family was a helium ballon tank and balloons. How many 3 year-olds do you know with their own helium tank. They've seen Alvin and the Chipmunks a dozen times but they haven't put two and two together.....and hopefully we'll keep it that way.

Insta-party

Amy's morning birthday included great friends and pink cupcakes with rainbow sprinkles.....who could ask for more. Since Jamison had somewhat of a progressive birthday it was only fair to let Amy blow candles out at least twice:) Of course, it was topped off by hours of running around in princess dresses with best friends.

Pancake Professional

How many dads do you know who despite being woken up at 5 am due to birthday excitement, would pull it together and make Little Mermaid pancakes? This of course was followed by Spiderman, and some sort of Prince.....not sure who. At any rate, Greg certainly wins the best Dad award. I don't become human until 8am so the kids are lucky to have Greg to make up for an anti-morning mother.

Hair Style for 2009

If jumping on a trampoline can do this to hair......forget solar panels.....just hook the kids up while they jump.
