Thanksgiving

We went to my Mom and Dad's for Thanksgiving. Their house is just a carpet installation away from being finished. I think there were almost 30 people there! We were able to fit everyone because they still don't have any furniture....I think we're going to have to break out the bean bag chairs. Dinner was incredible and the kids had a blast playing with cousins and Great grandparents. I now have the post turkey blues. Thanksgiving comes and goes so quickly.

Too soon to be cool.

This afternoon Jamison brought home a plethora of finished art projects pertaining to Thanksgiving. One of which was a head band with a feather on it to which I placed on his head and said he was "cute." His response? "Mom, it's not cute....it's cool." He has 4 weeks until he is 5 years old.....I didn't think "cute" expired until at least a few more years. I'm sad.

It's a girl!

Tiny fingers, tiny toes,
Little itty bitty clothes,
Dresses, ribbons & hair to curl,
We're tickled pink for another girl!

We've actually known for awhile that we're having a girl but I forgot that others might be curious as well....so I'm sorry for the delay.

Trip home from Catalina

On our way home from Catalina, we were able to witness the most beautiful sunset, due to the fact that LA was on fire. Accompanying the sunset was an incredible sighting of hundreds of dolphins dancing in the water. Sure, you see some here and there but it was as if they were seagulls a plenty. I am not sure what kind they were but they appeared to be smaller than the average dolphin one typically sees. Lucky us:)

Ring hook on Catalina Island

This past weekend we were fortunate to have a little getaway to Catalina thanks to Greg's parents for watching the kiddos. Due to the fact that I am pregnant, the list of "can't do's" is longer than the "can do" list. Because Greg isn't exactly the most talented at just "relaxing" we had to be creative. Fortunately for us, some nice person had placed a hook on the side of a tree with a ring hanging from a thin rope to allow whomever was willing to try, to get the ring hooked. After exhausting our efforts at relaxing we resorted to the ring hook game. Because Greg loves me, he allowed me to have more "hooked rings" than himself. Probably because my pride was wounded at my inability to do all the fun things there were to do because I was pregnant. And so our lives go:)

Happy Birthday Grandma Heidi!

There's always something special to celebrate on Sunday evenings and last Sunday it was even better because it involved cake and candles. Jamison and Amy feel it is their duty to blow out the birthday candles no matter whose they are. Luckily they have patient and loving family members who oblige:) Amy even got to dress up as a cow....as it was an after Halloween purchase for $1 Grandma Lynn couldn't refuse. Who doesn't need a cow costume?

On Sunday I got the kids ready to go for church and they looked so dang cute so I thought I would attempt to take some pictures.....ha ha. They're still pretty cute kids though:)

Pumpkin Carving

After a string of events which left me exhausted and utterly useless on Halloween afternoon, my Mom stopped by after work to save the day. We still had two pumpkins left to carve and it was already 4:30. Needless to say, my Mom is a pro pumpkin carver. And thanks to google we were able to pick out some patterns to carve. I did the bat (thank goodness) and my Mom took Scoobydoo to task. Amy couldn't get enough goo on her hands while Jamison could have gone the entire day without smelling or touching pumpkin guts and would have been happy.
