Happy Birthday to Greg!
Greg's birthday was the day after we got home so with the help of an amazing visting teacher, I was able to pull off a little party for him. She helped me get my house picked up and watched my kids while I got balloons, food etc. Greg of course gave me a pass to postpone any type of celebration due to the exhaustion and mess which follows a week long road trip. Alas, I underpromised and overproduced. Birthdays are a big deal in my book and should not go "uncelebrated." So we did all we could to make Greg feel loved and the kids even threw in a good ol' backscratch.
Worker Elves
This is what we came home to after our trip. Dix and Lynn are at it again. I shared an idea with them about creating more workspace for the kids and their homework. This of course was to free up the dining room table for dinner.....again....this was an idea.....until I came home and saw this! Finished pictures are yet to come. Aren't they incredible?!
Fishing with Uncle Mitch
After Anita's we drove to Heber where Greg's oldest brother lives. The weather was amazing and Mitch seized the moment and took the kiddos fishing in a pond by his house. Amy and Jamison had never fished before and were tickled to be able to do so. I left before they caught any fish but their endeavor was a success:) The evening was followed by a round of potato gun shooting....the fun never ends:)

Car wiggles
The kids had some serious wiggles to get out......I love pulling over in the middle of nowhere. I think Jamison was running up and down the road when I took these.....he really did come with us. It's so much more relaxing then a gas station or parking lot. On our way to Greg's brother's house we passed a huge pumpkin patch. Greg took some shots while we were driving....not bad right? If you look closely in the pumpkin patch there is a man in a suit and tie carrying two pumpkins. LOVED the fall colors too. They just make me happy.
St. George
Last week we took a roadtrip to Utah. We stopped at the St. George temple because neither of us had ever been yet we've driven past it countless times. They had an awesome visitors center too. Jamison had fun look at all of the Books of Mormon published in so many different languages. The temple itself was stunning up close:)
