Puddles

After Amy got home from school she immediately put on her raincoat and rain boots and ran across the street to get Spencer to do the same thing. He came bursting out of his door ready to go. Together they jumped and giggled to their hearts content. Seeing them grow up so quickly makes me nostalgic as I try to soak up each moment before they are just too cool to wear their cute little rain boots together.

Double Rainbow

This evening after the rain had slowed up and the sun was setting, our neighborhood was graced with a double rainbow. The kids were estatic. Becca wasn't as amused as we removed her from her dinner to go outside and see it. Not thrilled. We may get one per year if that so it's always a special treat.

One of the highlights of the evening was when the endless supply of Golden Spoon came out with a plethora of toppings. The kids couldn't believe they could have more than one topping!! Some friends of ours own several GS stores so this was their treat:)

The kids couldn't have been happier playing together. It's almost like they created their own little society as the bounced from one campsite to the next.

A couple of weeks ago we went beach camping with some friends. I wasn't excited about a lost night of sleep so Greg took it for the team and stayed with the kids in the tent while I took Becca home after the camp fire festivities. The kids LOVE camping so this past weekend we set up a tent in our house so they could "camp" again. I wish I could get that giddy over something so simple.

Arghh! Talk like a Pirate Day

Last Friday Jamison dressed up for "Talk like a Pirate" day. It's a totally random tradition his school has and the kids really get into it. Later on in the day Jamison was asking if there are any "good pirates." Of course I said no, and I could see the puzzled look on his face like "why the heck am I dressing like one then?" Aside from the fact that it's weird to have a bunch of little kids aspiring to look like pirates everyone had a blast. Jamison even slept in his pirate costume the night before so he was good and ready to walk the plank in the morning.

Amy's first day of Preschool

Amy had her first day of school yesterday. She is in the same class but with a few different kids. Her friend Jenna is in her class this year which she is thrilled about. 3 hour preschool has turned into a 7 hour playdate. Originally I thought they would grow tired of one another but they really get along well. As long as there are princess dresses and plastic high heels, there is hours of fun to be had.

Day 4 Lake Tahoe

On Monday we visited with my Dad's sister Sandra and she took us on a path near a stream by her home.  More opportunities to dip our toes in the water.  Becca was cruisin and walked the whole way.  Afterwards we drove down to the Keys and walked to the beach where my mom used to take me when I was little.

Day 3 Lake Tahoe

Sunday was probably one of my favorite days.  After church we caught up with some serious napping and then drove to an excluded beach that we found by pure luck.  We parked on the side of the road somewhere and hiked down not knowing we'd find ourselves at one of the most beautiful beaches.  It was complete with a hut someone left for Jamison, rocks perfect for climbing and aqua water.
