Easter Festivities

The day before Easter was packed full of fun things for the kids.  We started off with a hunt at the church and ended up at Nana's to dye eggs.  Fun memories:)

Matching Easter Dresses

Auntie Ann made Amy Becca, Sarah and Amy's doll dresses for Easter.  The turned out beautifully and the girls looked absolutely adorable.

The kids woke up early every day so we spent our time running around the golf course....much to the dismay of the grounds keepers:)

Joshua Tree during Spring Break

 On our way to Palm Springs during Spring Break we stopped in Joshua Tree National Park.  The kids were giddy exploring around the giant boulders.

The kids had the day off so Kim Plumb and I headed out to Torrey Pines with a few neighborhood kids in tow.

And so it begins......Sarah had her first bites of much at 4 months.  Baby food is not my favorite stage but it does represent the first steps of independence from me:)  Hurray:)

San Diego Snow Day

The stars finally aligned for our family to head to Palomar for a snow day.....or snow hour if we want to be honest here.  I wish I had a recording of when we first saw snow on the side of the road.  You'd think the road was laden with gold coins.....they wanted to pull over ever 10 seconds to touch it.  When we finally arrived at the top we released the hounds.  Poor Greg worked so hard to get everyone their clothing he forgot his own jacket....no worries though....Jamison's sweater apparently did the job.  The snow was quickly melting but the kids were able to get in a few sledding runs before mud was showing through.  After that, snow got into their rain boots and the whining began.  We forced a snowman out of them anyway and hopped back into the car to head home.

We are hitting probably the best part of Sarah's first year.  She is content, sleeps all night, doesn't eat baby food yet and loves being held.  Last week she laughed for the first time....even more fun!  She's rolled over a couple of times but with constant sibling entertainment she feels no need to explore her bodily capabilities.  We just can't get enough of her!

 After Christmas we started to come out of our "baby fog" and so we headed to La Jolla.  It was a spectacular day and somewhat serene.
