Several weeks ago we visited the science center. Becca would be happy all day at Kid City as she pushes her shopping cart around selecting random items to put in it. Afterwards the kids ran around in the fountain. It doesn't seem like a legal thing to do but .....everyone else was doing it. Good enough right?

Mud Run

Last month I did the mud run with some friends. Due to a decent amount of winter rain fall there was plenty of mud to go around. Instead of running across a river we had to swim a pretty good distance through a lake. Apparently swimming with shoes on isn't so effective......

Summer Basketball

Jamison has jumped into summer basketball this summer with great enthusiasm. Typically when I sign him up for things he emphatically makes me aware that he would rather do something else. I think he's growing up! woohoo.

Princess Extravaganza

In an effort to redeem myself as a mother of a sweet 5 year old girl who's never had a birthday party, we welcomed summer vacation by throwing a princess party for all the 4, 5, and 6 year old girls near by. We even had a count down sheet for Amy so she wouldn't have to keep asking me how many days were left until the party. The girls were treated to princess hairdos, manicures and pedicures, chariot rides, face painting and photoshoot. On top of that, the girls were giddy over the chocolate fountain set up just for them! Amy couldn't have been more pleased. My carpet is still sparkling with glitter.

Picking up Nana from the airport

Last week the kids and I were able to pick up my Mom from the airport. I've always wanted to sit in the cell phone lot so the kids could watch the planes approach through the skyline. We even got to watch my mom's plane arrive. We were sure to wave at every plane coming in and when I called my mom on her cell she verified we got the right one! Afterwards we walked along the harbor.....one of my favorite things to do. San Diego truly is a beautiful place to live.

First rate seesaw

In preparation for the upcoming Davis reunion, Greg's Dad spent a considerable amount of time designing and installing a teeter totter. After several test runs and several modifications, it is now open for business. Amy and her cousin Tyler from Arizona got to give it a good test run.

Cars II at the Drive-in theater

What better way to watch Cars II than in your car!!  There's a drive in theater in Santee...somewhat of a hike but still fun. I'm thinking that reclining chairs would have made it first rate.  Then again, I'm not so certain Becca would have let us sit still long enough to enjoy it:)     Posted by Picasa
