Summer is almost here:)

As one who has a degree in all things plants, my yard would testify otherwise. I finally had it with that fact and planted potted roses this winter. Now, I can have fresh cut flowers without pilfering from my neighbors yard.

My birthday!

We celebrated my birthday with a huge apple pie homemade by costco. It was absolutely delicious. I can think of nothing to say about turning 31....except for the fact I got a vitamix blender out of it.....which of course is AWESOME.

Utah Davis Cousins

After Lori's family came, Greg's brother Randy and fam drove down and the kiddos got another special dose of cousins. As you can see, Amy couldn't have been happier to wrestle with Max.

Beach day with the Arizona Davises

Greg's sister and fam came out in March and we got to hang out with them at Torrey Pines Beach. Amy was thrilled to play with cousin Tyler and I was thrilled that Kyle was willing to carry Becca for me.

Easter and Grandma and Grandpa's

Yesterday we celebrated Easter at Greg's parents home. Thanks to several Easter bunny helpers, Jamison and Amy had to work hard as the found clues that led them to their Easter baskets. Cute kids!

Amy the super soccer star

We finally dove in and signed Amy up for soccer.  She was due for a little glory of her own after sitting through Jamison's many events.  Watching a bunch of 5 year olds play soccer can either be excruciating or absolutely hilarious...depending on what mood you're in.  Regardless....Amy is on cloud 9 and it is so precious to see her smile from ear to ear.

Camping plans diverted

We had reservations at Carlsbad beach campground this past weekend but we canceled because of our rainy cold weather.  The kids were devastated we didn't go but we made alternative plans which involved a semi camping experience with the added bonus of sleeping in our own warm and comfortable beds.  Hooray for no sleep deprivation!

Jog-A-Thon

Last month Jamison ran in his school's jog-a-thon.  You'd think he was running to save his life as he took it a little too seriously.  He ran 12 laps (three miles) in about 20 minutes and I had to stop him because he had the "runners green look."  I'm not so certain he needed to show everyone his semi digested breakfast so I saved them the experience.  Just raising money here folks.....

Spring Break

This is the only picture I have to show for spring break for two reasons.  The first is because Monday was the only warm and sunny day so we capitalized by heading to the beach.  The second is that it was COLD the rest of the week so we stayed instead ate....and watched netflix.  Truthfully it was nice to just hang out and relax.  I think the kids needed it.

Happy Birthday Rebecca!

Rebecca is now a whopping two years old.  Time continues to fly at warp speed as I feel I am still recovering from her rocky arrival.  What a sweet spirit she is and I can't imagine life without her.  Becca is our little diva and insists on wearing ALL her necklaces wherever we go.....and bracelets.

She loves Toy Story hence the plethora of birthday gifts associated with Jesse and Woody.  She also is quite content with Elmo, and now Backyardigans.  You'd think I let her watch TV all day but she rules the roost outside as well while pushing her plastic mower all over our culdesac to say hello to all the dogs and kids.

Her speech is still limited but every once in a while she forgets she "doesn't speak" and will say several sentences to get what she wants.  As long as it is on her terms, she will speak.....however when we insist that she say please for the item she would like at any given moment be prepared to be reduced by her laser beam evil eye and frown.

Last night she loved her own pink bear cake as Jamison and Amy created a "drive-thru" birthday.  They brought and opened her presents while she tenderly took bites from her pink bear.

Dix, Lynn and my Mom were able to be there as well .....lucky girl!
