Thanksgiving

We celebrated Thanksgiving at Greg's sister Lori's house in Mesa this year. It couldn't have been more relaxing. Lori put on a magnificent dinner while the kids had an absolute blast playing with cousin Tyler, Chelsea and Natalie.

Rock Skipping with Dad

Every Sunday we try to have a family dinner and last Sunday just so happened to be at my parents' home. We got there early so Amy could go down to the lake and get mud in between her toes. She LOVES to get dirty....while Jamison LOVES to stay clean so he stayed at the house. Go figure. Greg also took this opportunity to teach Amy a little rock skipping lesson. It was so serene as we watched the various birds fly in and out to catch the fish.

Last night we had dinner at my parents house with my sister and her family. The kids had a blast running around full of giggles.

Why do kids grow up so fast?

I've always been a fan of the fact that the older kids grow up the more self sufficient they become. That is until this morning when I saw Amy and it is as if she morphed over night.

crawling....crawling...crawling..

Becca is on the verge of full blown crawling....I'm not totally paranoid yet but in the next couple of days I think things will have to change around here. She's able to take a couple of "knee steps" then resorts to the army crawl which is sufficient enough to get her to where she needs to be. The mess in our living room has been great entertainment for her but the bite size legos will have to find a new area to be dumped in. Here we go.....

Keeping kids busy at the Wild Animal Park

Yesterday we had some fun at the Wild Animal Park with friends. Entertaining them there is far easier then at home:)

Halloween.....

As a finale to a week of festivities, we got together with our good friends and their kids to trick or treat.  After the glow sticks dimmed and the candy was categorized, the night came to an end with visions of sugar bugs dancing in our mouths.

Pumpkin carving with Nana

I've always been a fan of traditions. One of them is having Nana (my mom) help the kids carve their pumpkins. I think she just stopped by on her way home from work a couple of years ago on Halloween and noticed I hadn't helped the kids with their pumpkins yet.....so ever since then, she has stopped at our house on her way home to complete the pumpkin carving task. Jamison picked Yoda and Amy wanted a witch and a cat. Thank goodness for online carving templates. This year was a first for Jamison as he was able to carve Yoda all by himself!

Jamison's Halloween day in Kindergarten

Jamison came home from school on Friday in a fit of glee. Costumes, crafts and candy. That's all you need in a recipe for a successful kindergarten school day.

Silver Buckle Halloween

This year's street Halloween extravaganza was another hit thanks to our resident party planner Diane. The kids had a blast listening to Diane read a book about pumpkins and letting the light of Christ shine. Then of course, thanks to Mikayla there was another game of donut bobbing....always a success.
