Back to School Movie night

Last Friday we had a movie night in our driveway and we watched Rio. It was a hit. The kids were giddy and I think even the adults enjoyed themselves. Hurray for projectors and popcorn.

First Day of School

The kiddos started school last week. I had mixed emotions. I was excited to have a few moments to myself yet at the same time I had reservations about sending not one but two of my kids off to the SYSTEM. So far it has gone well. Amy has Mrs. Stamp who is absolutely amazing and Jamison had a change in teachers due to illness. He now has Mrs. Commons who we've heard plenty of good things about. The first day Amy came home and mentioned that she was only interested in going to school a couple of days a week because there were too many rules. The second day I picked her up she looked at me with wide eyes and said, "Mom I made TWO new friends!" Stinkin cute. Jamison seems to be happy in his class as well. I think it has to do with the fact that two of his best friends are in there with him. Becca is a little thrown off by the whole thing but we are fallin into the swing of things.
