Beach Camping

This past week we went beach camping with some friends in Carlsbad. The sleep loss was minimal, weather was perfect and aside from a few complaints that it was "too sandy," (really!!) we pretty much had a great time. One morning we found a clump of reef that had washed up on shore. In it we found a ton of brittle starfish so the kids were occupied most of the morning "saving" the little sea critters. Going to the beach in the early morning is akin to visiting a sea life aquarium....you never know what you're going to find though.
