Vacation in Lake Tahoe

We finally were able to take our "summer vacation" over the long holiday and we had a marvelous time.  I hadn't realized that we never had taken a vacation with just our immediate family.  There certainly is beauty in not having to acquiesce to someone else's schedule.  We played when we wanted to and we napped when we wanted to.  I am almost embarrassed to say we even bonded a little more as a family. 

The first day we spent at Kings Beach where we rented a kayak and took turns shuttling the kids around.  The weather couldn't have been more pleasant.
