Neighborhood stroll through Del Dios

During Christmas break we spent an afternoon at my mom's house. We always take an afternoon walk with the kids while we're there and it's always a delight to see all the animals people have in their yards. This time the kids got to hang out with the pigs. The setting could not have been more perfect.....beautiful sunny afternoon in December....hanging with the swine. Afterwards we walked further and found the goats to feed...and on our way home we had a fun surprise. One of my mom's neighbors was taking his horses for an afternoon stroll and I told him how Amy was interested in taking horse riding lessons. He offered to let her ride part of the way home! She was grinning from ear to ear. Jamison of course insisted on a turn and we had two happy kids. We finished it off with a bath in Nana's fancy tub. I LOVE low key afternoons like these. Just give us some animals, dirt, and sunshine and we are good to go.
